Welcome back to the squadron! After a very long break we are finally in a position to be able to safely reopen the squadron for parade nights. Lots of time and effort has gone into preparing the building, staff and NCO's for the new procedures and rules that will govern how we operate for the time being. Please use this page to familiarise yourself with the new regulations.
As our parade nights have been restricted to 15 cadets, you will be placed in a specific group and will only be able to attend on specific nights. Unauthorised personnel will not be allowed to enter the building.
All cadets will be required to wash their hands for a minimum of 20 seconds or use the hand sanitiser at the start of the night on entering.
We will hold a COVID awareness brief for all staff and cadets at the start of each parade night.
Social distancing markers have been put in the Sqn and maximum room occupancy stated in each room.
We will not be holding canteen so cadets will need to bring their own snacks and drinks. We will continue to offer a mid-evening break.
We will organise our activities to make use of outdoor training where possible and will encourage cadets to train in ways that they reduce face-to-face activities by working side-to-side or back-to-back whenever possible.
We have made provision for the building to be cleaned more regularly than before, during and after parades.
As of 8th August, UK Government requires that face coverings are to be worn indoors for youth sector activity; this includes all cadets and adult staff. Face coverings are to be supplied by individuals and are an additional measure, not an alternative to other COVID-secure measures.
